If I Am Using An Aircard Does My Ip Address Give My Physical Location?
No, NOT an exact physical location or something like a street address. However, you CAN be tracked to a geographical area, the service area of your ISP who you get your IP address from when you connect. If you are using something like cell phone technology, then the closest they can get is a triangulation between cell towers that your signal reaches if you are in contact with more than one cell tower.
Your IP (Internet address, not a physical location, is more like account data; who you are, your billing address and so on) is on file with your provider.
Physical location can however be plotted.
Aircards utilize cell tower technology. So, when you are connected, it is usually to the closest provider tower (unless other arrangements are optional).
Records and perhaps ‘real time’ tower use can be examined, and a general location plotted. The more towers that ’see’ your card, the closer to the actual location (plotted using triangulation).
The best way to know is to check some reputable IP tracking website:http://www.ipaddresslocation.org/ip-addr…http://www.find-ip-address.org/ip-addres…
You will know exactly what they are able to trace and what they show to you basis on your IP address.
Hi,
when we interact with others via mails, chatting etc.someone who fetch our i.p can easly trace our location just like cell phones.
Thanks.
While the IP address will not give away your exact physical location, it can be used to determine your general geographic location (e.g. country, state, or region).
No, it doesnt.
