Is there a way to make a pc card for wireless internet to work with Ubuntu linux? I haven’t been able to make it work yet. The card is an Option GT Max 3.6 Express and the Ubuntu distribution is 7.10.
Depends. If it has a USB interface or can go into a PCI slot on the motherboard, sure, it will probably work. But if this is something you pulled from a laptop or a PC-Card type device, no, it won’t. Unless you have a PC-Card reader on your desktop, of course.
My son accidentally removed access of using a AT@T aircard with his Vista laptop. Nothing at all shows up on his screen. He said he deleted it somehow and is devastated, he is 13. I’ve been trying to help and am getting no where. Any ideas??
If it has a working PC Card slot, you should have no problem.
You can not. A aircard will only work on 1 computer.

I am wondering who has the best monthly plan prices on aircards? Or are they all about $60 a month?
I understand I have to change my ethernet port on one of the pc’s to transmit out instead of receive. How do I change the port to out and then how do I get the aircard to tansmit to the router and then have our 2 pc’s and my notebook receive these transmissions?
