The reason why…I am just not that happy with my current provider and I am looking at other options.
My son accidentally removed access of using a AT@T aircard with his Vista laptop. Nothing at all shows up on his screen. He said he deleted it somehow and is devastated, he is 13. I’ve been trying to help and am getting no where. Any ideas??
An aircard is similar to your cell phone as it uses the same wireless network to access the internet, there are two different wireless data systems in use in the United States, EDGE and 3G, EDGE max speed is 150 Kilobits per seconds and 3G max speed is 300 Kilobits per second.

Simply running the network wizard on both comps will not work.
You need to get a wireless router and install it on your main comp…usually the router will have an installation guide telling how to do that and also how to get your laptop connected to that network.
In general, Internet connection is faster and cheaper but limited to your home. The aircard can connect almost everywhere but it more expensive and slower. You need to make the decision. You basically have two options when it comes to wireless cards:
